Access Road Towards Rawabuaya City Forest Asphalted

Road access towards the gate of Rawa Buaya City Forest, Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta, is not fully asphalted and still waiting to be completed. It is targeted that next year the road would be smooth and fully asphalted, so it can be passed by cars.

We have sent the proposal to the (West Jakarta) Mayor last week. Now, we just wait the handover process

Head of West Jakarta Agriculture and Forestry Sub-Department, Joko Rianto, said his department has filed request to developers for the road access diversion towards Rawa Buaya City Forest. So later, the road would be West Jakarta Administration’s asset.

All this time, the land as wide as 1.09 hectares which equipped with artificial lake, small mosque, jogging track, and a management office, is still not handed over by the developers, namely Orang Tua and Agung Sedayu companies.

“We have sent the proposal to the (West Jakarta) Mayor last week. Now, we just wait the handover process,” he stated, Thursday (11/20).

According to Rianto, many developers in West Jakarta have not carried out their responsibility to build social (fasos) and public (fasum) facilities around them. That’s why he asks them to do so, as done by the developers mentioned above.

“There are two developers around Rawa Buaya City Forest. Their response is fast compared to other developers,” he told.

At this time, the construction of Rawa Buaya City Forest gate is still 60 percent completion, and targeted to finish in upcoming December. If the handover process completed and the land officially becomes West Jakarta Administration’s asset, the road is scheduled to be inaugurated directly by President Joko Widodo.
